10/15/2008 - SMAT Mobile Hospital Mississippi Dept of Health partnered with the University of MS Medical Center and purchased three fifty bed mobile hospitals for use during any disaster that happens in Mississippi.  These state of the art MASH hospitals give the state the ability to respond during any disaster when hospitals may be unable to operate or need additional capacity during a catastrophe.  Each hospital has seven tents with 4500 sq feet that is completely self- contained and includes everything a regular hospital would provide.  They have X-ray, surgery, triage, sleeping quarters for a 25+ man team with a complete pharmacy and all consumables needed for 5 days. A system was needed to track and account for all doctors, nurses, workers and patients during a disaster when a hospital is needed.  The ID Group partnered with Salamander to provide a complete accountability and tracking system that is NIMS compliant and tracks both responders and patients.
