ID Group's identification heritage runs deep.  ID Group, Inc. formaly known as Mississippi Impression Products was established 1976 in Jackson, MS "home of the first plastic credit card machine."  Our company has been involved in most if not all of the industry changes that have taken place over the last twenty two (22) years including several of our own great moments. 1990 - Datacard invented the first plastic card photo id system.  Prior to that, all photo ids were produced by taking a photo, and laminating it to a typed paper id. 1993 - Datacard invented the first color photo id printer.  Now hight quality photo ids could be produced and printed directly to a plastic card. 1998 - ID Group entered the Access Control market and began implementing access control to our existing ID customer base. 1999 - ID Group aquired the southern Louisiana territory and began providing ID and Access Control solutions to the area. 2001 - ID Group started developing in-house software products for the ID market. 2004 - ID Group invented the SmartReg solution that revolutionized the driver's license scanning industry in casinos and hotels. 2010 - ID Group spun off all software development into a new company BadgePass, Inc.   8/10/2009 BadgePass Video Please check out the BadgePass video on the Identification Systems Group website.
